In the early nineties there were few people making fired bricks but a cheerful group of men near Nangoo were hard at it every dry season. They worked near a stream which provided water for mixing with soil and for damping the mud coating of the brick piles which were fired for three days.
This industry has spread so that in 2010 we saw bricks being made in every village. Perhaps the increase is due to more people having money to buy bricks.
